What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a profession whose aim is to encourage and support the return to normal following illness, surgery, disease or trauma. It can be effective in the treatment of a range of muscle, joint and nerve conditions.

Physiotherapists use a wide range of techniques such as manual therapy and exercise prescription to maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease.

We can offer expertise in upper limb and hand rehabilitation, pain management programmes and post-surgical recovery. Many of our therapists are also trained in Pilates, Acupuncture and Joint Manipulation, carrying out thorough biomechanical assessments to enhance and optimise function.

We have strong links with many orthopaedic consultants and have an excellent track record in the rehabilitation of upper and lower limb sports injuries. In addition, we can offer pre and post natal treatment and advice as well as vertigo and balance rehabilitation with our vestibular specialist.

How can I help you improve your health?

After graduating from the University of the West of England in 2011, I worked in the NHS, completing rotations in all core aspects of physiotherapy, and I went on to specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
I have experience of working with clients with a broad range of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, and I am constantly utilising the numerous assessment and treatment skills that I have developed in manual therapy and exercise prescription over the years of working as a musculoskeletal therapist. I have experience of managing acute and sub-acute sporting injuries, having worked in the past with a premiership rugby team and as part of the physiotherapy team at Cardiff City Football Club, working with academy players.
I have completed my acupuncture foundation course and am trained as an APPI Pilates instructor and I regularly incorporate these assessment and treatment skills into my sessions. I am also trained to deliver extracorporeal shockwave therapy, a highly effective, non-invasive treatment option for clients with plantar fasciitis and tendon conditions.
Outside work, I enjoy keeping fit and spending time with my young family.

My Qualifications

  • BSc Physiotherapy
  • HCPC
