About

Professor Patel is an experienced ear, nose and throat surgeon, with special interests in head and neck cancer, thyroid, salivary glands, voice, upper airway and swallowing disorders.

He has higher degrees in cancer research, voice research and genetics. He also has a diploma in robotic surgery.

He has a visiting professorship at the University of Southampton and has published extensively in academic literature. He also has had national leadership roles in head and neck cancer and laryngology.

Professor Patel has appeared on television on The One Show and Embarrassing Bodies as an expert.
