About
Professor Andrew Lewis is an Oxford Consultant Cardiologist who sees adults across all areas of cardiology,
particularly people experiencing chest pain, a racing or irregular heartbeat, breathlessness and concerns about their heart risk. He is Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Oxford and specialises in advanced heart imaging and diagnostics. He also welcomes patients seeking a second opinion, or who have questions about any existing investigations. He consistently receives excellent feedback from his patients.
Professor Lewis undertook specialist training in cardiology in Oxford, with further training and research at other leading hospitals in London, Auckland, and Boston at the world-renowned Massachusetts General Hospital.
As Professor Lewis is based at the John Radcliffe Hospital, with your consent he can review any existing test results and letters from Oxford University Hospitals. This is particularly helpful if you have already been seen or are waiting to be seen there.
Alongside his clinical practice, he leads a cutting-edge research programme at the University of Oxford and is a national leader of major clinical trials testing new medicines for heart disease and new ways to diagnose heart problems using advanced heart imaging.
