Ms Seema Bagtharia is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital who specialises in benign gynaecology including heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis, prolapse, recurrent miscarriage and menopause, minimal access / invasive surgery, polycystic ovary syndrome, early pregnancy and gynaecological ultrasound scanning.
Ms Bagtharia graduated from India before her postgraduate training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from North East Thames hospitals. During her training, she took time out as clinical research fellow in Fertility. She also developed special interest in minimal access surgery and Gynaecological Ultrasound scannings.
Ms Bagtharia has been a Consultant since 2008. She is also College Tutor and has training responsibility for the juniors.
Ms Bagtharia has wide experience in general gynaecology and has a special interest in dysfunctional uterine bleeding, infertility and peri-menopausal problems (including post menopausal bleeding and menopausal symptoms). She has experience in delivering IVF treatment at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital.
Ms Bagtharia performs hysterectomies as well as minimal access surgical procedures (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy) and latest procedures for menorraghia and dysmennorrhoea. She undertakes ultrasound scans for gynaecological and early pregnancy problems.
General gynaecology including abnormal menstrual bleeding, endometriosis, polycystic ovary, prolapse surgery, minimal access surgery, vaginal/abdominal hysterectomies, recurrent miscarriage, menopause and hormone replacement therapy. She conducts the fertility investigations and induction of ovulation.
Ms Bagtharia runs Menopause clinics every other week and performs routine well women screening. She undertakes early pregnancy, gynaecological ultrasound scannings and fertility scans.
Ms Bagtharia enjoys spending time with her family, socialising with friends and charity work.
