About

Mrs Hannah Knight was awarded MBBS with distinction in clinical sciences from St Georges Hospital Medical School, London in 2007, having previously completed a BSc in Biology (physiology) from the University of Leicester in 2002.

She completed higher surgical training in units across the South West of England. Recognising the immense impact of breast cancer on women and their families, she chose to specialise in breast surgery, and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2019.

After successfully competing in a national selection process, she was awarded a prestigious national Oncoplastic TIG Fellowship, completing this, and her specialist training in 2021. She was appointed the same year as a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at Royal Devon University Hospital in Exeter, a National Oncoplastic Centre of Excellence.

She is the current Clinical Teaching Lead for breast surgery at Exeter Medical School, the College Tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons, and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical education. She has a central role and commitment to ensuring high standards of surgical Training at Exeter.

Her research, publications and national presentations have focused on producing high quality, low risk surgical outcomes for patients.
