About
Mr Viren Asher is a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist practising at the Royal Derby Hospital. He specialises in the surgical management of gynaecological cancers, with particular expertise in minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques. He is also trained in colposcopy and performs a range of colposcopic diagnostic and treatment procedures.
His clinical expertise includes the management of ovarian cancer and a broad range of gynaecological malignancies, as well as the treatment of pre-cancerous conditions such as cervical abnormalities. Mr Asher is experienced in a wide variety of procedures, including hysteroscopic surgery, adnexal surgery, and hysterectomy. He also provides care in hormonal management, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and the use of hormonal intrauterine systems.
In addition, he performs cervical screening (smear tests) and offers treatments for cervical lesions, including cone biopsy and cold coagulation.
