About
Mr Mandalia is a specialist knee surgeon who trained in the Wessex region and went on to complete advanced fellowships in the UK and the USA, including at the University of Alabama and the University of Pittsburgh. He developed a strong interest in knee surgery early in his career and has worked with leading experts in the field.
He treats a wide range of knee problems, including:
- Sports injuries such as cartilage, meniscal, cruciate, and multi‑ligament injuries
- Cartilage damage
- Knee instability
- Patellofemoral problems, including pain, misalignment, and kneecap instability
- Early and advanced arthritis and knee deformity
He is experienced in all types of knee surgery, including:
- Keyhole (arthroscopic) procedures such as microfracture, meniscal repair or trimming, and lateral release
- Cartilage repair and regeneration techniques
- Surgery to realign or stabilise the kneecap
- ACL and PCL ligament reconstruction
- Corrective bone realignment (osteotomy)
- Partial, patellofemoral, and total knee replacement
