Mr Vinodh Pannirselvam is a highly experienced Consultant Spinal Surgeon with extensive international training and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of degenerative spinal conditions, such as back pain, leg pain (sciatica), and neck pain.
Mr Pannirselvam is committed to providing safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care, with clear communication and shared decision-making at the heart of his practice. His approach focuses on using minimally invasive techniques wherever appropriate, helping patients recover more quickly with less pain and shorter hospital stays.

He was later awarded a prestigious research fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in the USA, contributing to international research in spine care.
His career then took him to Singapore, where he completed further specialist training at the National University Hospitals. Here, he developed significant expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery, as well as the use of advanced technologies such as robotics and navigation to improve surgical accuracy and patient outcomes. In 2015, he was awarded the FRCS (Orthopaedics) qualification.
In 2017, Mr Pannirselvam moved to the UK to complete further advanced training in complex spinal surgery in Southampton. He subsequently held consultant spinal posts at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingha and Preston.
Since 2022, he has been a Consultant

role within the specialist spinal team. He is currently working with his team
to establish a spinal endoscopy service at UHNM, offering patients access to
the latest advances in spine care.
