About
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. I provide private care at Nuffield Health Derby Hospital and I also work in the NHS at Royal Derby Hospital.
I am part of both the Derby Shoulder and Elbow Unit and the Pulvertaft Hand Centre. This allows me to treat the full range of upper limb conditions.
My aim is to reduce pain, improve movement and help you return to your normal activities.
I completed my medical training in Southampton and my specialist orthopaedic training in Sheffield.
To develop advanced skills, I undertook several international fellowships:
- An upper limb trauma fellowship in the United States, where I trained in leading centres in Indianapolis, Chicago and New York
- A shoulder fellowship in Cape Town, working with a leading specialist
- A hand and wrist fellowship at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby
I was appointed as a Consultant in Derby in 2005.
