Mr Sunildath (Joey) Cazabon is an experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist with specialist expertise in medical retina, cataract surgery, and vitreoretinal surgery. He has been a Consultant at the Countess of Chester NHS Trust since 2008 and also provides private care at Nuffield Health The Grosvenor Hospital, Chester.
He completed his ophthalmic training at the renowned St Paul’s Eye Unit in Liverpool (2001–2006), followed by a prestigious Vitreoretinal Fellowship at Oxford Eye Hospital (2006–2007). He subsequently served as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Oxford Eye Hospital before relocating to Chester.
Mr Cazabon has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating age‑related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic eye disease, retinal vein occlusion, and vitreoretinal disorders. He is also highly skilled in micro‑incision cataract surgery, macular hole surgery, and retinal detachment repair, offering advanced surgical and medical treatments for complex retinal conditions.
