About
Mr Sudarshan Munigangaiah is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of adult spinal conditions. His clinical practice focuses on a wide range of spinal disorders, including degenerative conditions, spinal deformities, tumours, trauma and spinal infections.
He works at two leading tertiary referral centres: The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool. His private practice is based at the Ludlow Wing at RJAH and Nuffield Health Shrewsbury Hospital.
Mr Munigangaiah completed his medical degree at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore, India, before undertaking his basic surgical and Trauma and Orthopaedic training in the Republic of Ireland.
He has completed advanced specialist training through two prestigious spine fellowships. These include the EuroSpine-accredited European Spine Diploma Fellowship at Galway University Hospitals, and a combined paediatric and adult post-CCT Spine Fellowship at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. This training has given him extensive expertise in managing both routine and complex spinal conditions.
Mr Munigangaiah is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based care, helping patients reduce pain, improve mobility and return to everyday activities wherever possible.
