Mr Stergios Doumas

Mr Doumas is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial / Head and Neck Reconstructive Surgeon who has been practising at Queen Victoria Hospital since 2024. Previously he held a consultant position in Oral and Maxillofacial / Head and Neck Reconstructive Surgery at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.

He has undertaken advanced specialist training through two fellowships in Head and Neck Oncology at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, and Queen Victoria Hospital and Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals, respectively. His clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and management of both benign and malignant conditions affecting the oral cavity, skin, and salivary glands. He has extensive experience in reconstructive surgery, including both local and free flap reconstruction. In addition, he provides treatment for dentoalveolar conditions such as cysts and impacted teeth.

Mr Doumas has a strong academic and research background, with a particular interest in cancer immunology. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Athens, Greece. He has authored over 35 peer-reviewed publications and contributed to four book chapters. He has also been actively involved as a principal investigator in both national and international clinical trials and research studies. Academically, he holds an honorary Associate Professorship at University College London (UCL) and serves as a member of the Research Committee for Reconstruction within the American Head and Neck Society (AHNS).
