About

Mr Stephen Derbyshire is a Consultant ENT–Head and Neck Surgeon offering general adult and paediatric ENT care. He has a particular interest in both benign and malignant conditions affecting the head and neck, including thyroid and salivary gland disorders.

Originally from Surrey, Mr Derbyshire completed his specialist training in the Northwest of England, primarily in Merseyside, home to one of Europe’s largest head and neck cancer centres. He received his Certificate of Completion of Training from the UK Postgraduate Medical Education Training Board in 2016. His training also includes paediatric ENT at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and facial plastic surgery for skin cancer treatment.

He was appointed Consultant at both the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford and Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey in 2016.

Mr Derbyshire’s clinical interests include thyroid and parathyroid surgery, voice and swallowing disorders, and the surgical management of skin cancers in the head and neck. He is a core member of the regional multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) for head and neck cancer, thyroid, and parathyroid care.
