About
Mr Miranda's expertise lies in all conditions affecting the hand, wrist and upper limb peripheral nerves. This includes Dupuytren’s contracture, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other nerve conditions, hand and wrist pain, arthritis and painful joints, injuries and sports injuries and tendon problems.
His practice at Nuffield Health Tees Hospital offers a pioneering new injection treatment for Dupuytren’s, as an alternative to surgery. He also offers joint replacement surgery in the hand and wrist.
Sanjay Miranda has been subspecialised in Hand and Upper Limb surgery since 2003. He trained in Orthopaedic Surgery in the West Midlands and had further training to specialise in Hand, Upper Limb and Peripheral Nerve surgery. He undertook 12-month Fellowship training at Pulvertaft Hand Unit, Derby. He then moved to Sydney, Australia to do a 6-month hand fellowship in North Shore Hospital (microsurgery and nerve surgery) and 6-month shoulder and elbow fellowship at North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medical Centre.

Personal interests
Mr Miranda is a keen golfer and enjoys traveling with his family. All things automotive.
