Mr Sandeep Jayawant

Dr Sandeep Jayawant is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist with an NHS practice based at the world-renowned John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Dr Jayawant’s practice focuses entirely on Children’s neurological disorders including neuromuscular disorders and congenital and autoimmune myasthenia. He is Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Paediatrics at the University of Oxford. He graduated with honors from University of Bombay India and completed his paediatric and paediatric neurology training in Oxford, London and Cardiff.

He was appointed a Consultant in Paediatric Neurology at University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff in 2000 and subsequently at the John Radcliffe Hospital and Oxford Children’s Hospital in 2002. Dr Jayawant also completed a Fellowship in Paediatric Neuromuscular Disorders at the Dubowitz Neuromuscular Centre at the Hammersmith Hospital in London.

He has also been a Trustee and Treasurer of the British Paediatric Neurology Association. He has extensively lectured and presented papers and has numerous publications. He has edited a book on Myasthenia in Children. He teaches on the Paediatric epilepsy Training Courses of the British Paediatric Neurology Association.
