About
Dr Sandeep Jayawant is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist specialising in the assessment and management of neurological disorders in children under 16 years of age. His clinical expertise includes paediatric epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, congenital myasthenia and myasthenia gravis, with a specialist focus on complex childhood neurological conditions.
He has held consultant posts at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, the John Radcliffe Hospital and Oxford Children’s Hospital, and completed a Fellowship in Paediatric Neuromuscular Disorders at the Dubowitz Neuromuscular Centre in London.
Dr Jayawant is also an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Paediatrics at the University of Oxford, has published and lectured extensively, edited a book on Myasthenia in Children, and teaches on the British Paediatric Neurology Association’s paediatric epilepsy training courses. He graduated with honours from the University of Bombay, India, and completed his paediatric and paediatric neurology training in Oxford, London and Cardiff.
He has also been a Trustee and Treasurer of the British Paediatric Neurology Association. He has extensively lectured and presented papers and has numerous publications.
Note: Dr. Jayawant only sees patients under 16 years old.
