About

Mr Sadmeet Singh – Consultant Urological Surgeon

I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon specialising in conditions affecting the prostate, kidneys and bladder. This includes both non‑cancerous and cancerous conditions.

I have many years of experience diagnosing these conditions and caring for patients before and after surgery. My aim is to provide safe, effective treatment and support you throughout your care.

I studied medicine at Nottingham Medical School and qualified as a doctor in 1993.

I completed my early surgical training in London before specialising in urology. I also spent time in Canada at the Juravinski Cancer Centre at McMaster University. There, I carried out research into prostate cancer and worked with leading cancer specialists.

After returning to the UK, I completed my specialist urology training in the East Midlands. I was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon in 2010.

I currently work at King’s Mill Hospital and Royal Derby Hospital.

Areas of expertise

I diagnose and treat a wide range of urological conditions, including:

  • Prostate, kidney and bladder cancer
  • Enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH)
  • Bladder conditions
  • General urology problems

I will work with you to understand your symptoms and choose the most appropriate treatment.

Specialist treatments and procedures

I carry out a range of procedures, including:

  • Keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery, which uses small cuts and can help you recover more quickly
  • Open surgery where needed for more complex cases
  • TURP (transurethral resection of the prostate), a procedure to treat an enlarged prostate
  • Vasectomy (a procedure for male sterilisation)

I also offer modern treatments for an enlarged prostate. These are designed to improve urinary symptoms and your quality of life.
