About
Mr Rikki Sunil Mistry is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon specialising in hand, wrist and skin surgery. He has particular expertise in the treatment of hand conditions, trauma and reconstructive procedures, with a strong focus on restoring both function and appearance.
Mr Mistry graduated from the University of Dundee Medical School in 2004 and completed higher specialist training in Plastic Surgery across leading UK centres including St Thomas’ Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, St George’s Hospital and Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast) in 2020, followed by an advanced Hand Surgery Fellowship at St Thomas’ Hospital and the Aesthetic Fellowship at The McIndoe Centre.
Mr Mistry was appointed Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Queen Victoria Hospital in 2021, where he also serves as Clinical Lead for Trauma. He regularly treats conditions such as Dupuytren’s contracture, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, arthritis, tendon injuries and nerve compression syndromes, as well as skin lesions and skin cancers.
He has a particular interest in surgical techniques that minimise scarring and optimise cosmetic outcomes, including advanced approaches to hand rejuvenation aimed at improving the appearance of ageing hands.
Using modern surgical techniques, Mr Mistry aims to support rapid recovery and return to activity. He is committed to seeing patients promptly following referral and providing timely access to treatment where surgery is required.
