Mr Jeavons is a fellowship trained Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in Shoulder and Elbow surgery. He attended Leeds University where he attained degrees in Medical Sciences and Medicine. He undertook Basic Surgical Training within the Yorkshire School of Surgery, followed by Higher Surgical Training in Orthopaedics and Trauma within the Northern Deanery. 

He successfully completed two fellowships at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, a Level 1 Trauma centre. The first a British Orthopaedic Association approved fellowship in Trauma Surgery and a Royal College of Surgeons of England approved Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Fellowship. He gained vast experience managing complex orthopaedic trauma, shoulder and elbow surgery including arthroscopic and arthroplasty techniques. 

His current practice reflects his training offering shoulder and elbow joint replacements for arthritis; arthroscopic and open surgery for impingement, instability, rotator cuff tears, nerve decompression, surgery for acromioclavicuar joint dysfunction; management of general and upper limb specific trauma. 

He is continually involved in teaching and training of orthopaedic surgeons and allied healthcare professionals. He organises courses on shoulder arthroscopy and teaches on the Northern Deanery FRCS exam course.

Mr Jeavons is regularly involved in research, publishing work in peer reviewed journals, presenting work at national and international meetings. He is involved in recruitment for national shoulder trials. He is reviewer for the Bone and Joint Journal.
