About
Ramsay Refaie is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in foot and ankle surgery.
After completing his orthopaedic training in Newcastle he received awards from the British Foot and Ankle Society and British Orthopaedic Association allowing him to travel to Glasgow and Sydney to further develop his specialist foot and ankle skills in world renowned centres of excellence.
He has brought these skills back to the North East where he now practices at James Cook Hospital, The Friarage Hospital and at Nuffield Tees Hospital
He is a surgical trainer within the NHS helping prepare the next generation of surgeons for independent practice and also teaches on several courses including the local orthopaedic masters program.
Ramsay prides himself on providing a personal service to his patients and believes in true shared decision-making to ensure the best treatments and outcomes for his patients.
