Mr Limaye began his medical career in India, qualifying as a Medical Doctor and Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon in 1993. He continued his training in the UK for a further decade, undertaking extensive Orthopaedic and Trauma surgical training across the Liverpool, London, and Oxford regions.

Following advanced fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery, he achieved entry onto the UK Specialist Register in 2005 and was appointed the same year as an NHS Consultant in Orthopaedics and Trauma.
He currently practises at the University Hospital of North Tees, where he leads a dedicated foot and ankle service and has developed recognised expertise in minimal access (keyhole) foot surgery.

Personal interests

Mr Limaye’s varied interests include fell walking, hiking in Switzerland, skiing and driving sports cars. He also enjoys travelling and learning about new cultures, food, places and spends remaining time with his family, kids and his many friends from various backgrounds.

Mr Limaye has a passion for water colour paintings and has received many national prizes. He has also completed elementary and intermediate drawing exams and has achieved a diploma in painting. His other interest lies in still photography and he has also received prizes in this.

He is currently taking flying lessons on a Cesna 152 through Durham Tees Valley Flying Club.
