I am a caring, experienced and highly motivated professional with great integrity.

I have thirty years of general surgical experience.  I enjoy teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.  I have obtained specialist registration with GMC.  Since February 2012 I am practicing as a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon in Plymouth (UK) with special interest in laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgeries with active involvement in surgical research.

I have performed more than 1000 laparoscopic colorectal resections.

I am fully trained Robotic Surgeon and have been performing colorectal resections using Davinci Xi Robo in Plymouth and in India.

I had my General Paediatric surgical training from Bristol children’s hospital and perform general paediatric surgeries in University hospital, Plymouth.

National faculty in Basic Laparoscopic skills and ATLS courses.

Sub investigator for multi-national trials.  Trainer for laparoscopic colorectal surgery.  Chairman for the BAME network in UHP Plymouth and WRES expert for the trust.  I took one year leave from my present post (2019 to 2020) appointed as Head of Department of Colorectal Surgery in Asia’s biggest GI Laparoscopic Centre in India (Gen Hospital).  During this time, I undertook training in laparoscopic and robotic abdominal wall reconstruction, robotic colorectal resections and minimal invasive proctology.  I have been invited as faculty at national and international conferences.
