About

Mr Rajesh Bawale is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery, with expertise in treating arthritis, joint degeneration, sports injuries, and complex hip disorders. He specialises in hip and knee replacement surgery, joint preservation, joint reconstruction, and revision hip surgery for failed or painful hip replacements.

Mr Bawale completed advanced fellowship training at the prestigious Sunnybrook Holland Orthopaedic Centre, Toronto, Canada, focusing on complex hip and knee reconstruction. He is currently a Consultant Lower Limb Arthroplasty Surgeon at Medway Maritime Hospital, where he serves as Trauma Lead and Lead Hip Revision Surgeon, and leads a successful same-day hip and knee replacement programme.

Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Bawale is a dedicated educator, researcher, and surgical trainer. He regularly publishes research, presents at national and international conferences, and contributes data to the National Joint Registry to help improve outcomes in hip and knee replacement surgery.
