- Overview
About
I qualified as a doctor in 1993 and have been working in various NHS hospitals across the UK since 1996, in a range of clinical roles. Over the past eighteen years, I have gained extensive training and experience in Gynaecology.
I became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), London, in 2002, and was awarded Fellowship of the same institution in 2014.
I have been working at Consultant level since 2012. I joined Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre in December 2014 as a Consultant Gynaecologist. Since 2019, I have been working as a full-time Consultant Gynaecologist at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
I was the first consultant at the Treatment Centre to regularly perform major inpatient gynaecological procedures. I introduced and developed an enhanced recovery programme, which I had previously established in my earlier NHS role as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. This programme helps patients recover more quickly and safely after surgery.
In my current NHS role, I am involved in both elective and emergency gynaecology services at Queen’s Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital. I also participate in the consultant on-call rota for gynaecology.
