About

Mr Puri began his ophthalmic training in India in 1990 and continued his specialist training in the UK from 1996. He has developed a particular expertise in retinal diseases, completing advanced subspecialty training (ASTO) in this field.

He provides comprehensive general ophthalmology services, including the management of blepharitis, dry eye, allergic eye disease, and inflammatory ocular surface conditions. He is also highly experienced in cataract surgery, performing modern micro-incision cataract surgery (MICS) and offering premium intraocular lens implantation.

Mr Puri has a specialist interest in retinal disease, particularly in the management of patients with diabetic eye conditions. His work includes diabetic screening, laser treatments, and the use of anti-VEGF therapies.

He leads the macular degeneration service in Derby and provides expert care for both dry and wet age-related macular degeneration. In addition, he is involved in the management of glaucoma and offers specialist services for patients with retinal vascular disorders.

Mr Puri is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, combining advanced clinical expertise with a thoughtful and thorough approach to treatment.

Cataract surgery and retinal diseases, systemic ophthalmology, diabetic retinopathy, and age related macular degeneration.

Mr Puri has indicated that he has interest in a Lumithera Light Delivery System, equipment used at Derby Nuffield or any other Nuffield Hospital.
