Profile

Mr Oliver Cassell qualified as a doctor in 1989 and trained in Plastic Surgery in Oxford and Wessex Rotation. He gained further experience in Specialist Plastic Surgery Units in Australia, USA and Ireland before returning as a Consultant to Oxford in 2001.

His NHS Practice is predominantly breast reconstruction and skin cancer. As a consequence he currently uses his expertise in these areas to perform cosmetic surgery specifically on the breast (enlargement, reduction, uplift and asymmetry) and abdomen (tummy tuck and liposuction).

He undertakes all aspects of skin cancer surgery including removal of BCC, SCC and melanomas. He is a specialist in sentinel lymph node biopsy and more advanced surgery for melanomas.

He also undertakes the more routine removal of skin lumps, bumps and blemishes, and administers anti-wrinkle injections.
Mr Cassell is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Oxford. He has a Masters in Surgery from the University of Melbourne for research in the field of tissue engineering and has written a specialist handbook in plastic surgery.
