Mr Nik Sharma

Mr Nik Sharma is a Consultant Sports Knee Surgeon, specialising exclusively in knee surgery. Renowned for his compassionate and personable approach, he has developed expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of knee-related conditions. These include sports, joint preservation, arthroscopy and knee replacement surgery.

Mr Nik Sharma completed his specialist training in the Oswestry Stoke rotation, sports knee Fellowship at Wrightington and international travelling fellowships in Canada and France. During this time, he honed his skills in treating professional athletes.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Mr Sharma has also served as a crowd doctor at high-profile sporting events, including cricket at Lord’s, and completed the London Marathon in 2023. Having personally experienced and rehabilitated from a knee injury, he fully understands the psychological and physical challenges faced by athletes at all levels. This insight enables him to provide tailored, high-quality care, combining both surgical and non-surgical approaches to help patients from all different levels return to peak fitness and their day-to-day activity.

Nik Sharma has both a teaching and research portfolio with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. He was awarded The Professor’s Medal for his pioneering research on a new classification system for patellofemoral (kneecap) instability.
