About

Mr Mohammed Aldiwani is a Consultant Urological Surgeon specialising in both general and complex urological conditions. He has a particular interest in robotic (Da Vinci) surgery for kidney cancer and benign renal conditions, including PUJ obstruction and kidney cysts, as well as minimally invasive treatments for kidney stones and prostate enlargement.

He offers a comprehensive urology service, managing conditions such as haematuria, urinary tract infections, scrotal swellings, kidney obstruction and urological cancers affecting the kidney, bladder, prostate and testis. For kidney cancer surgery, he offers both transperitoneal and retroperitoneal robotic approaches.

The retroperitoneal approach is a more specialised technique, performed by relatively few surgeons, which allows direct access to the kidney without entering the abdominal cavity. Mr Aldiwani has a particular interest in this approach and carefully selects the most appropriate technique for each patient to optimise outcomes and recovery.

Mr Aldiwani completed higher specialist urology training in London and achieved the highest score nationally in the FRCS (Urology) written examination. He subsequently undertook a Royal College of Surgeons-accredited fellowship in robotic renal surgery, performing over 200 kidney operations, including 125 partial nephrectomies in a single year.

He remains actively involved in research, education and surgical training, and is known for delivering personalised, evidence-based care with a strong focus on communication and patient experience.
