About
Mr Akhtar completed his training in Dublin University from 1998 – 2003 with special interests in uro-oncology. He has vast experience in endoscopic, open and laparoscopic urological surgery. He is a Fellow of Intercollegiate Specialty Board in Urology and also fellow of European Board of Urology.
Prior to joining Hereford County Hospital and Nuffield Hospital he was Consultant Urological Surgeon in Southern Trust Northern Ireland. In his previous job he established the trust MDM and chaired it for three years. He also led the Oncology unit of the Trust and preformed Laparoscopic surgery.
