About
I'm a Consultant Otolaryngologist, specialising is surgery for middle ear disease, cholesteatoma, glue ear and hearing loss. I also has a special interest in balance disorders and acoustic neuroma surgery.
I perform around 100 major ear operations per year. As a sample of my surgical outcomes, the success rate of my eardrum repair surgery is 93% (a Royal College of Surgeons audit of this procedure has shown the average to be 68%).
I graduated from the University of Wales, and took my specialist ENT training in Wessex. I gained further experience of advanced ear surgery at the Portmann Institute in Bordeaux, France, and the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles, California.
I'm also a Fellow and Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
