About

Mr Izett-Kay is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist Urogynaecologist (Pelvic Floor Specialist) at The John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. He offers individualised, evidence-based, expert care for women with gynaecological problems including incontinence, and prolapse, with particular expertise in laparoscopy. He qualified from the University of Exeter before spending a decade training in London. He was inspired to pursue Urogynaecology whilst working at King's College Hospital London for Professor Linda Cardozo OBE. He was awarded his doctoral degree (MD, Res) from University College London for research into womb-sparing key-hole prolapse surgery supervised by Mr Arvind Vashisht and Professor Usha Menon at UCLH. He completed his sub-specialty accreditation at the Department of Urogynaecology in Oxford.

Mr Izett-Kay is a clinician-researcher, publishing in peer-reviewed journals regularly, lecturing internationally, authored book chapters, and is currently part of the NIHR-funded PURSUE study group at The University of Oxford. He is Chair of the International Urogynaecological Association (IUGA) FTECP committee, teaches laparoscopic surgery, and has won several awards for his teaching and training. He also has expertise in medicolegal practice. He enjoys working with patients to find the best management option for them, including watchful waiting. He is married, has a young son, and enjoys travelling.
