About

Mr Majid Chowdhry is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon practising at Nuffield Health Brighton and Nuffield Health Haywards Heath hospitals. He specialises exclusively in hip and knee surgery, with particular expertise in robotic-assisted joint replacements, sports knee injuries, and complex revision surgery.

His practice combines two highly specialised areas of orthopaedics - advanced joint replacement surgery, and complex knee ligament reconstruction where combined depth of experience is relatively uncommon.

Patients seek his care for arthritis, hip and knee pain, ACL and ligament injuries, meniscal problems, cartilage injuries, and failed or painful joint replacements

Alongside his private practice, he works as a Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust, where he manages complex lower limb trauma and reconstructive surgery.

Mr Chowdhry completed higher specialist orthopaedic training in the South-East Thames region, before undertaking fellowship in sports knee surgery in Toronto, and revision joint replacement surgery at St Michael's Hospital, Canada. He later returned to the UK to complete a trauma fellowship in Cambridge.

He treats both elite and recreational athletes, alongside patients seeking relief from arthritis and degenerative joint conditions.
