Mr Ajekigbe – Consultant in Hand Surgery

Mr Ajekigbe is an experienced specialist in hand surgery, having trained extensively in both Plastic and Orthopaedic Hand Surgery across Yorkshire and the North East of England between 1990 and 2011.

He holds the prestigious European Diploma in Hand Surgery (2004) and was awarded the Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) in Hand Surgery in 2011, securing his place on the UK Specialist Register. He has further enhanced his expertise through educational visits to leading hand and microsurgical centres both in the UK and internationally and has completed all recognised instructional courses in hand surgery delivered by the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH).

Mr Ajekigbe's clinical interests include:

  • Hand and wrist trauma
  • Acute injuries and reconstructive surgery
  • Degenerative hand conditions
  • Nerve compression conditions (such as carpal tunnel syndrome)
  • Non-surgical management of conditions such as wrist ganglions and Dupuytren’s disease, including treatment with Xiapex
