Mr Van Niekerk is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in knee and ankle sports injuries. He has been practising as a consultant since 2000, following specialist Fellowship training in sports injury management at the renowned Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry.
He offers expert assessment, diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of knee and ankle conditions, including ligament injuries, meniscal tears, cartilage damage, instability and acute sports trauma. His practice covers both operative and non‑operative care, ensuring patients receive a personalised treatment plan based on their injury and goals.
With particular expertise in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery and ligament reconstruction of the knee and ankle, Mr Van Niekerk has spent over two decades treating sportspeople at every level — from recreational athletes to premiership footballers and elite professionals.
