About
Mr Keith Hayward is an experienced Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon who has been practising at Queen’s Hospital, Burton, for more than 10 years. He provides comprehensive orthopaedic care with a particular focus on lower-limb conditions, combining a meticulous surgical approach with a strong commitment to patient-centred care.
Mr Hayward completed his medical degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, graduating in 1995. He subsequently undertook orthopaedic specialist training in the West Midlands, gaining broad clinical experience across several major UK teaching hospitals.
He further developed his expertise through a dedicated lower-limb arthroplasty fellowship at Royal Derby Hospital, under the guidance of leading surgeons Mr Tim Wilton and Mr Guido Geutjens.
In addition to his clinical training, Mr Hayward is a qualified Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Trainer, reflecting his ongoing involvement in trauma management and medical education.
Mr Hayward performs a wide range of orthopaedic procedures for conditions affecting the hip, knee, and forefoot. His practice includes lower-limb joint replacement, joint-preserving procedures, and arthroscopic techniques to improve function and reduce pain.
