About

Mr Joshua Franklyn is a high-volume Robotic General and Colorectal Surgeon with a total robotic practice.

He performs robotic surgery for colorectal conditions, hernias and selected emergency procedures, and is among a small number of surgeons in the UK with a comprehensive robotic practice.

Alongside his robotic practice, Mr Franklyn provides specialist proctology care for conditions including haemorrhoids, anal fissures and anal fistula.

Education

He undertook specialist fellowship training at the Basingstoke Peritoneal Malignancy Institute, developing expertise in advanced colorectal cancer, followed by dedicated robotic colorectal training at Oxford University Hospitals (OUH).

Teaching

Mr Franklyn is passionate about mentoring the next generation of surgeons and serves as Surgical Lead for Undergraduate Medical Education at University College London (UCL) Medical School at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospital.
