About
Mr Jonathan Rossiter is a specialist in:

Mr Rossiter is a highly experienced consultant who has worked in ophthalmology for over 20 years. He has been in private practice as a consultant for over 12 years specialising in cataract surgery and glaucoma. During this time he has performed over 5000 cataract and refractive lens procedures, including many complex cases relating to his glaucoma practice, with outstandingly low complication rates.
Mr Rossiter is
an expert in small incision cataract surgery, often carried out under a ‘no-needle’
anaesthetic technique. He has gained extensive
experience with premium lens implants, including toric lens implants to treat
astigmatism and multifocal lenses; both of which may allow patients to become
spectacle independent after cataract surgery.
Mr Rossiter also offers refractive lens exchange, a very appealing alternative to laser vision correction surgery for those over the age of 50. Unlike laser, this procedure can correct both near and intermediate sight, in addition to distance vision.
Mr Rossiter completed his glaucoma and cataract training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London in 2005, widely regarded as one of the world’s leading centres for eye care. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He keeps his practice up to date by regularly attending international conferences.
In addition to
his cataract work, Mr Rossiter specialises in glaucoma treatments, including
selective laser trabeculoplasty, a treatment that can be used instead of
inconvenient daily eye drops. In addition, he carries out a broad array of
surgery for glaucoma, including minimally invasive Trabectome and XEN
implantation, trabeculectomy and the insertion of glaucoma drainage devices.
Personal interests
When not at work, Mr Rossiter has a busy family life with a doctor wife and three teenage children. He enjoys travel and plays tennis and golf.
