Mr Jeffrey Lordan

Mr Lordan is a Consultant Upper GI, Hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) and General Surgeon based at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. He has special interest in complex benign liver, pancreas disease, hernia, gallbladder disease and minimally invasive techniques (keyhole surgery).

Mr Lordan is the Tumour Site Specific Group (TSSG) Lead for Upper GI and HPB cancer for the Kent and Medway Cancer Collaborative (KMCC).

Mr Lordan’s trained at Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Medical School, London before training as a surgeon in the South West Thames London Deanery. He undertook specialist fellowships at the liver and transplant unit in Birmingham and the Royal Marden NHS Foundation Trust, London.

Between 2015-2020 Mr Lordan was a Consultant HPB, Sarcoma and Multi-organ Retrieval for Transplantation Surgeon at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. Between 2014-2015 Mr Lordan was a Locum Consultant HPB and Multi-organ Retrieval Surgeon at the Birmingham Liver transplant unit

Mr Lordan is the Royal College of Surgeons College (RCS) Tutor. He has achieved the 2017 Award for Outstanding Teaching and 2017 Top Teachers Award from University College London and the 2006 Trust Award for Excellence in Medical Teaching from Frimley Park Hospital. Mr Lordan also has an interest in research and completed a PhD focusing on the biology of Hepato-pancreato-biliary cancer. Mr Lordan has published in multiple peer-reviewed medical journals and has presented nationally and internationally in over 75 conferences.

Mr Lordan launched the RCS START course at MTW for foundation doctors.
