Mr James Rudd

Mr James Rudd is a Consultant ENT, Head & Neck, and Thyroid Surgeon based in London, with extensive expertise in general ENT surgery and specific interests in thyroid cancer, head and neck surgery, and voice disorders. He runs a regular paediatric ENT clinic at the Royal Free Hospital and consults at Barnet and Chase Farm hospitals. He is a key member of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust's Thyroid Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT).

Mr Rudd's training has been extensive, having worked across the South East, London and Oxford at renowned institutions such as Great Ormond Street Hospital, Guy’s & St. Thomas’s Hospitals, Evelina London, the John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospitals. He is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad spectrum of ENT disorders in both paediatric and adult patients.

He completed an advanced fellowship in head and neck surgical oncology including robotic surgery at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Mr Rudd is an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University College London (UCL) Medical School taking an active role in medical student teaching. Throughout his career, he has contributed numerous articles to peer-reviewed scientific publications and has presented his research at both national and international conferences.

Mr Rudd also has a passion for remote and global healthcare, having worked in Antarctica, Australia and participated in surgical outreach programs in Ghana and Nepal.
