Mr Ritchie is a fellowship trained consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon specialising exclusively in problems of the foot and ankle. He treats all aspects of foot and ankle problems in children and adults, from foot pain and ingrowing toenails through sports injuries and fractures to total ankle replacement. His practice is based on the best scientific evidence, and he uses the most up to date surgical techniques to obtain the optimum possible outcome and shortest recovery times for my patients.
He is regularly invited to present his work at both national and international conferences including not only British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society meeting, but also the German Orthopaedic Society (DKOU) congress and European Foot and Ankle Society scientific meetings in Geneva, Edinburgh, Lyon and Helsinki.

He is frequently invited to teach other surgeons on advanced Foot and Ankle courses such as the European Advanced Instructional Course in Helsinki, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital course in London, Oxford and Cambridge instructional courses and the prestigious Viladot course at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Barcelona.
