About
Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist interests in foot and ankle surgery, children's orthopaedics and limb reconstruction surgery.
Mr Metcalfe received higher surgical training on the Oswestry training programme and was then appointed as the National Fellow in Paediatric Orthopaedics at the Sheffield Children's Hospital. He was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon at Derriford Hospital and Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital in 2006.
His current Nuffield practice includes all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, corrective surgery for bunions, arthritis of toes and bones in the foot and ankle, keyhole surgery for the treatment of ankle injuries, ankle replacements or keyhole ankle fusion for arthritis of the ankle.
Paediatric practice includes all aspects of children's orthopaedics including cerebral palsy, development dysplasia of the hip and Perthes disease.
