About
James Coelho is a highly trained plastic surgeon working in the south-west of England. He currently works at the University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust as a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon, since 2021. There he leads the breast reconstruction service as well as the perineal reconstruction service. He is also heavily involved in lower limb reconstruction.
James has a broad plastic surgery experience, working in the specialty for 15 years, having trained in many units across the UK, including Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol, Salisbury, Manchester (The Christie NHS Foundation Trust), Wakefield and Swansea. He is also fellowship trained in skin cancer and sarcoma surgery, as well as perineal and abdominal wall reconstruction.
At the Nuffield hospital James offers a range of cosmetic procedures, as well as skin lesion (benign and cancer) surgery and lipoma (fatty lump) surgery.
James has a warm and friendly bed-side manner and is always
keen to ensure patients are fully supported throughout their care.
