About
Mr MacLeod is a highly experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand conditions. He provides expert diagnosis and treatment using both minimally invasive arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery and traditional open surgical techniques to deliver the best possible results for his patients.
He studied medicine at St Mary’s Hospital in London, qualifying in 2000. He then completed his basic surgical training, followed by specialist orthopaedic training across London and the South West Thames region.
To further develop his expertise in upper limb surgery, Mr MacLeod completed a year-long specialist fellowship at the internationally renowned Upper Limb Unit in Brisbane. He then undertook an additional six-month fellowship at the highly regarded Wrightington Upper Limb Unit in the UK. He also received the prestigious Watanabe Travelling Fellowship, which enabled him to train with leading shoulder surgeons across the UK and gain advanced experience in arthroscopic (keyhole) techniques.
In 2011, Mr MacLeod was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital. He is actively involved in research and has published widely on upper limb surgery, with his work presented at both national and international conferences.
