About

Mr Hasan Naveed is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in cornea, refractive surgery, cataract surgery and anterior segment reconstruction. He is currently a Consultant at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead.

Mr Naveed completed his undergraduate medical training at St George’s, University of London, where he also obtained a BSc in Developmental Science and Anatomy. He undertook ophthalmology specialist training within the Kent, Surrey and Sussex deanery, which was followed by an advanced corneal fellowship at Corneoplastic Unit, Queen Victoria Hospital.

His clinical interests include cataract surgery, keratorefractive surgery, ocular surface disease and corneal disorders. Mr Naveed is actively involved in research, education and clinical innovation, with over 30 peer-reviewed publications and more than 50 national and international presentations.

He also holds several leadership and governance roles within ophthalmology, including positions with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and the British Society for Refractive Surgery. Mr Naveed is also an examiner and faculty member for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and contributes to surgical training and education across the UK.
