I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in knee surgery and sports injuries. I have over 20 years of experience treating a wide range of knee conditions.
I provide private care at Nuffield Health Derby Hospital and also work in the NHS at Royal Derby Hospital.
My aim is to reduce your pain, improve your movement and help you return to your normal activities.
I have dedicated my career to knee surgery and sports injuries. I have worked with both everyday patients and professional athletes.
I am the Consulting Surgeon for several sports teams, including:

- Burton Albion Football Club
- Derby Rugby Club
- Derby Trailblazers Basketball Club
This has given me extensive experience in treating sports‑related injuries at all levels.

Mr Geutjens has extensive expertise in managing sports‑related knee and ankle injuries, with a personal operative portfolio exceeding 5,000 arthroscopies and more than 2,000 cruciate ligament reconstructions.
He also has significant experience in knee replacement surgery and osteotomies around the knee.
His specialist interests include cartilage resurfacing procedures, meniscal cartilage repair, and the management of arthritis in younger patients.
