Mr Vergani is a Consultant Neurosurgeon specialising in the treatment of brain tumours and spinal degenerative disorders. His NHS post is at King’s College Hospital, London. He obtained his FRCS in neurosurgery in 2013.
He has a particular interest in the treatment of brain tumours, having completed the prestigious neuro-oncology fellowship at King’s College Hospital. This gave him a great experience in the management of spinal and brain tumours with the use of technical advances such as neuronavigation, 5-ALA for the detection of high-grade gliomas and minimally invasive approaches. He is also specialised in surgery for tumours in eloquent areas of the brain, using brain mapping, neuromonitoring and awake surgery.
In addition, he has an active spinal practice dealing with problems of the cervical and lumbar spine, include sciatica, brachalgia, radiculopathies and pain management.
He is active in clinical research and has more than 60 publications on peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. In 2015 he won the prestigious Young Neurosurgeon Award of the WFNS (World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies)
In his spare time, Mr Vergani enjoys spending time with his family, playing with his kids and having fun!
