About
Mr Fady Atalla is an experienced Consultant Gynaecologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon with over 20 years of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology. He holds a substantive consultant post at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.
Mr Atalla has a particular interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery for conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, adenomyosis, and chronic pelvic pain. He completed the RCOG Advanced Training Skills Module (ATSM) in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and has worked in British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE)-accredited centres, developing extensive expertise in minimally invasive procedures.
He is also highly skilled in outpatient treatments, including diagnostic hysteroscopy, MyoSure polypectomy, NovaSure endometrial ablation, smear tests, endometrial biopsies, and coil insertions, all of which can be performed under either local or general anaesthesia. He also performs laparoscopic and abdominal hysterectomies, laparoscopic sterilisation, and excision of vulval and vaginal lesions.

Mr Atalla has presented at national and international conferences, including the RCOG World Congress and the BSGE Annual Scientific Meeting. This include a case study on heterotopic pregnancy and a multidisciplinary approach to diaphragmatic endometriosis, presented at the BSGE ASM 2021.
