About
Mr Dionysios (Dennis) Remoundos is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals (OUH), where he has cared for patients since 2016. He has held senior roles in the OUH Breast Unit and received the OUH Patient Choice Award in 2023.
Mr Remoundos sees women and men with breast symptoms and benign conditions, including breast pain, lumps, nipple discharge, nipple inversion and gynaecomastia.
He specialises in breast cancer surgery, including oncoplastic breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy with immediate reconstruction, risk-reducing surgery and procedures to improve breast symmetry.
Education
He studied medicine at Trinity College, Cambridge, trained in London and Suffolk, and completed his Higher Surgical Training in General Surgery in Oxford with a specialist interest in breast surgery.
He undertook advanced oncoplastic breast surgery training through fellowships in Leeds and Oxford, enabling him to combine safe cancer surgery with reconstructive and complex breast-conserving techniques.

Mr Remoundos recognises that attending a breast clinic can feel worrying and aims to provide care that is kind, clearly explained and tailored to each patient’s concerns, circumstances and preferences.
His approach is to treat breast disease safely while aiming for the best possible functional, cosmetic and emotional outcome, with clear information and practical support throughout.
Improving standards
He contributed to the UK Association of Breast Surgery recommendations on the contemporary management of phyllodes tumours of the breast, helping to support clearer guidance for this uncommon condition.
