About

Mr David Michael Thomas is a highly experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon with specialist expertise in head and neck conditions, including neck lumps, thyroid and salivary gland disorders, voice problems, swallowing difficulties (dysphagia), and throat conditions. He works as a Consultant ENT Surgeon for Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and sees private patients at Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital. 

With over 18 years of experience as a full-time NHS consultant, Mr Thomas has benefited from extensive training across the UK, USA, Ireland, and Belgium. His specialist interests include the diagnosis and treatment of voice disorders and swallowing problems, and he leads dedicated voice and dysphagia clinics within the NHS. 

Mr Thomas manages a broad range of adult and paediatric ENT conditions and has a particular interest in head and neck oncology, including the early diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancers. He is also actively involved in clinical governance, medical education, and research, teaching both healthcare professionals and medical students. 

A Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Mr Thomas has contributed to a number of publications and research projects in the field of head and neck surgery and is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care.
