About
Mr Lowe is a fully accredited ENT Consultant and Rhinology Specialist based at Nuffield Health Tees Hospital, offering expert assessment and treatment for self‑pay and insured patients. Highly regarded across the North East, he is known for his exceptional patient rapport, friendly approach and consistently high levels of satisfaction.
As Clinical Lead for Rhinology at South Tees Hospitals, Mr Lowe provides comprehensive care in nasal surgery, including functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty, endoscopic sinus surgery, orbital surgery, and complex anterior skull‑base procedures. He works closely with neurosurgery, ophthalmology and plastic surgery teams to deliver advanced, multidisciplinary care.
Background & Training
Mr Lowe studied Medicine at University College London (UCL), where he also completed an intercalated Honours BSc in Neuroscience under the supervision of Nobel Prize‑winning Professor John O’Keefe. He gained early ENT experience at the world‑renowned Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital and later undertook a facial plastic surgery research fellowship at St Mary’s Hospital, London.
His surgical training included posts at major London teaching hospitals, The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, and later ENT rotations in both Oxford and Cambridge regions. As Project Manager for the National Prospective Tonsillectomy Audit, he contributed to what remains one of the world’s largest ENT surgical studies, informing NICE guidance in the UK.

Appointed ENT Consultant and Lead for Rhinology in 2009, Mr Lowe has developed extensive expertise in:

- Endoscopic sinus & orbital surgery
- Skull‑base surgery as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Complex rhinological cases and tertiary referrals
He operates at James Cook University Hospital and the Friarage Hospital, providing advanced ENT care across the region.
