Mr David Lau is a highly accomplished Consultant Urological Surgeon at Nuffield Health Cardiff and Vale Hospitals. Bringing extensive UK experience, he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Urol) and holds both an MSc and a PhD in Urology from University College London.

Mr David Lau is an academically distinguished surgeon with a profound background in urological science. He holds an MSc from University College London (2003) and was awarded a PhD in 2012 from the Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Urology at the Royal Free Hospital, London. His doctoral thesis, "Investigating the role of peripheral serotonergic, purinergic and nitric oxide/cGMP pathways in the normal and pathological erectile process and the effect of vardenafil on diabetic nephropathy," represents a significant contribution to the understanding of urological health.
His research specifically evaluates the role of bioamines, including serotonin (5-HT), in the pathogenesis of erectile dysfunction and renal diseases. Through his doctoral studies, Mr Lau became proficient in advanced laboratory techniques such as organ bath studies, Immunohistochemistry, RT-PCR, and Western Blotting.
Mr Lau’s expertise is internationally recognised; he serves as a peer referee for prestigious medical journals, including The Asian Journal of Andrology and Drugs for Today.
